About proGrammar proGrammar is the pseudonym of Graham Arthur Mackenzie, born in Columbia, South Carolina, United States of America, Planet Earth on January 12th, 1977. proGrammar currently lives in New York, New York, New York. proGrammar is a Caucasian male, 6' 6", 205 lbs., athletic build, hazel eyes, brown hair. proGrammar was clasically trained as a singer, growing up, as a member of The Northwest Boychoir and Vocalpoint! Seattle, two really dope singing programs for youth in the Seattle area. At the same time, Grammar was nursing what was to become a lifelong obsession with hip-hop music, ever since seeing "Beat Street" on TV at the age of 7. proGrammar sings, raps, beatboxes, makes beats, records + mixes his own stuff, creates coverart, and sells everything through his own label, Media Mackenzie and his website proGrammar.net. He has made a lot of albums at this point, most with some sort of connection to hip-hop. Check all of them out here. Watch some videos he made of himself interpreting his own lyrics into American Sign Language here. Listen to an album of pop covers he made entirely with his voice (singing + beatboxing) here. Listen to an album of rock vocals he recorded on top of a band that only plays Nintendo themesongs here. Watch some videos of him improvising beats / raps / vocals on the spot using a looping pedal here. |
