Greek Dogs, Roman Cats:

True masters of our ancient masterpieces.

Four times as many cats

Slaughtered for Roman fun now

Languish on colossal grounds.

At night, they alone walk the stands unhindered,

Shitting where Caesar sat.

Greek dogs,

For their part, slip through Agoran cages,

Not out of vengeance,

But to irritate, laughing,

Taverna waiters shooing

Them incessantly like flies.
