Sophomore effort by me writing to songs played by The Advantage, an awesome rock band from Sacramento, CA that solely plays Nintendo theme songs.

Recorded by me at my apt. on the UWS, mixed by Erick Ronick (thinmanstudios.com) at his awesome former studio in DUMBO, mastered by Michael Sarsfield for Frankford Wayne (frankfordwayne.com).

I love this album. I'm just very happy with my work, The Advantage sounds great, Eric totally nailed it and Michael's always good. Plus, just thematically, I thought it held together really well. In an alternate universe, this album wins a Grammy for Pop Album of the Year.

The entire album is basically about my fears and concerns regarding being in a relationship, being human, being mortal and how I attempt to find a transcendant love through self-acceptance.

I was not expecting this to be a rock album (ie, no rapping whatsoever) it just turned out that way based on the songs that appealed to me this time around. But, looking back on it, I'm so glad I made a purely rock album 'cause even the Somaphone albums have some connection to hiphop (ie, beatboxing) and I've always been self-conscious about making anything that was purely singing, no connection to hiphop whatsoever, and I don't think I'd've ever started out with such a thing in mind, yet it always felt like a very silly concern for me to have so I'm glad I'm past it in the only way it could've happened: surreptitiously / unintentionally.
